There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing

Lovely Margarethe is a kids concept store, women-owned and mom proofed. The store was founded in 2021 in Portland, Oregon. We sell hand-me-down quality children's clothing and accessories from small independent mostly European brands like outerwear from disana, Canopist school backpacks, Baby Bodysuits and all basic layers Engel Natur, protective hats from Pickapooh, swimwear and snosuits from ducksday, cool 5-panel caps from New Kids in the house as well as waterproof raingear from fairechild, wool bedding from Holy Lamb Organics and fast-drying turksigh towel ponchos from House of Jude.

Everything we sell in the shop had been tried and tested by us and our kids.

Behind Lovely Margarethe is owner Nadja Parker, mom of two and curator of the store. She is a Portland, Oregon based German mom that moved to the United States in 2020. She brings her love and enthusiasm for quality children's clothing to showcase the kids must-haves from newborn to teenager.

As my grandmother used to say: “Es gibt kein falsches Wetter, es gibt nur falsche Kleidung.” (There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.)
